Several years ago, THE 95’S while attending the NAMM show met Tillie from Byron Custom Guitars. After checking out some of their instruments, they used one of them at their showroom performances. We enjoyed playing them and were impressed for their superior build quality and sound, surpassing the majority of other companies and builders from Hong Kong / China.

About eight months later Tillie had gotten in contact with us online and let us know that she was interested in doing a partnership with us. Taking input from our preferences, sound and aesthetics, we, THE 95’S, have put together two signature models that represent our style and sound. Jay is using a six-string satin jumbo that boasts a bold, rich, and balanced sound. The solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides are excellent tonewoods, and let’s the acoustic stand out with a projecting sound. Matt is using a modified OM 28 that has a triple a solid, spruce top and solid rose wood back inside. In addition, it also has premium vintage hardware and abalone binding throughout. This OM 28 has a very tight and focused tone, yet still can retain a balanced and round bottom end. It’s a great combo for solo playing yet can cut through a mix when recorded.

2 features that really stand out on both guitars is the modern C slim neck profile that makes each guitar extremely comfortable to play. Additionally, both guitars have an AG1 one pickup installed for instances when amplification is needed,d these pickups provide a balanced and natural response as well of having a mic function switch.
